While most people are distracted with the ongoing ethno-religious conflict in Gaza, and Israel, it’s always important to ask ones self are there other components to the story that are being completely overlooked ? We've heard talk of oil in the region but more importantly no one is talking about the canal, specifically the Ben Gurion Canal Project apparently proposed in the 1800s via the Dead Sea. This would compete directly with the Suez diverting billions of dollars from Egypts economy to Israel and the West. Could there perhaps be an effort to thwart or undermine this and is the attack on Israel some way directly or indirectly linked ?
To my knowledge Egypt gets the lions share of money because they have the have the only lane that links commercial and other traffic between the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. Approximately 10% of the worlds cargo flows though the region so it begins to become clear why perhaps a war has been ignited.

The geological and logistical differences between the two Canals is also interesting. The Suez is narrow, sandy an only allows for one large vessel passage at a time. The new Canal promises a much deeper channel and room for two large vessels over the Suez’s one. Recall the Suez Canal back in 2021 when for 6 days all commercial container deliveries were brought to stand still ? Having a second canal owned by the West would also offer a strategic military advantage in the region as well.
